While our own in-house team is well equipped to handle large scale flat roof projects, we also work in conjunction with some of the highest skilled roofing professionals from around the country on many large commercial and industrial projects. Specializing in EPDM, TPO, and SPF (Sprayed Polyurethane Foam) roofing products, we can find the right solution to secure your buildings envelope for decades to come.
EPDM (Rubber Roofing)
EPDM is an acronym for (ethylene propylene diene monomer) which essentially means "rubber". It is the most commonly used flat roofing material for residential houses. Rubber comes in two thickness .60mil and .90mil. It is also available in white or black. Rubber roofing is typically installed over and insulation board which is fastened off to the entire roof deck area. It is then glued, and pressed down securely in place, and will maintain bond for around 40-50 years.
TPO Roofing
TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin, Which despite its name it is not composed of plastic, but rather a compound of different rubbers. TPO roof systems are generally used on large commercial and industrial buildings, and are fully adhered to the roof deck over insulation boards. Seams and overlaps are heat-welded together, rather than glued requiring the use of special equipment. The two major benefits of TPO is price and color. Being the least expensive flat roofing product it keeps cost to a minimum on very large projects and since the material comes in a bright white color, is reflects most of the UV rays away from the building keeping energy costs down.
SPF Roofing
SPF stands for (Sprayed Polyurethane Foam). An SPF roof system can be applied over existing flat and metal roof surfaces and will form an inseparable chemical bond to the cleaned and primed roof surface. A 100% silicon coating is then applied on top of the foam coating. SPF roofs also provide additional R-value to the buildings envelope as well as providing a reflective UV resistant roof surface.
